Some of you have been admitted to the Master Program in Computer Science under the condition that you pass one or two preparatory courses (PreMaster courses), because of some deficits in your previous Bachelor education. These courses were assigned to you when your admission documents were checked against eligibility. The following six PreMaster courses will be given, some of them having two parts, some only one:
- Mathematics 1 and 2
- Software Engineering 1 and 2
- Softskills, Management
- Models and Algorithms 1 and 2
- Systems 1 and 2
- Foundations of Human-Computer-Interaction
If such a course has been assigned to you, you should clear it in the first year (first or second semester) of your study. While you have not yet passed the course, you can not enter some of the regular courses of the Master program, which require the content of the PreMaster course. Courses without this pre-requisite can be started right away.
The courses will be held according to the following time scheme, and will be given once a year:
|Modul 1||Modul 2|
|November||Mathematics 1||Software Engineering 1|
|December||Mathematics 1||Software Engineering 1|
|January||Mathematics 2||Software Engineering 2|
|February||Mathematics 2||Software Engineering 2|
|April||Models and Algorithms 1||Systems 1|
|May||Models and Algorithms 1||Systems 1|
|June||Models and Algorithms 2||Systems 2|
|July||Models and Algorithms 2||Systems 2|
|September||Foundations of Human-Computer-Interaction|
All courses will be available in PAUL soon and all students who have been assigned to a course will be added as participants automatically from the central examination office. Hence, after some time, the PreMaster course should show up in your PAUL account as a mandatory course.
The organizers/teachers of the courses will contact you about organisation details of the PreMaster course (date, time, place) in due time.
