Computing Resources

The IRB provides computing time and computers of various types to students, research groups, and employees, free of charge.

The most common services are detailed below. Please contact us in case of questions or if none of the solutions below fit your specific requirements.

• Computer Pools
  The IRB provides numerous Computer Pool Rooms, each with many modern workstations, both for regular CS Department and student use.
   
• Virtual Machines
  We offer Virtual Machines on our Cluster as a flexible solution for your computing needs.

• Systems for Research Groups / Fachgruppen
  Our basic system setup and maintainance plan for servers and workstations is also available for Reasearch Group use.
   
• Long-running Processes
  Information about our rules and suggestions regarding long-running jobs.
   
• Databases
  Overview on the database services provided by the IRB.
