Juraj Somorovsky gave an interview to Deutschlandfunk on techniques for circumventing TLS-based Internet censorship.
The podcast episode focused on the topic of Internet censorship. Juraj discussed a recent article from the System Security group, which explored various techniques for detecting and bypassing censorship in countries such as China and Iran. These methods leveraged the flexibility of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol, making it significantly more difficult for censors to identify and block traffic – for example, connections to platforms like Wikipedia.
