Stu­dent as­sist­ant (SHK/WHB) (m/f/d) wanted in the field of soft­ware de­vel­op­ment / TLS state learn­ing

The Systems Security Research Group is looking for a

student assistant (f/m/d) or student assistant with a bachelor's degree (f/m/d)

to support the further development and application of an existing research tool.

Your responsibilities

  • Further development of existing research tools for analyzing TLS libraries
  • Implementation of new functions and adjustments according to specifications
  • Support in conducting and documenting experiments with the tools

Your profile

  • Advanced bachelor's/beginning master's degree in computer science
  • Good to very good programming skills
  • Prior knowledge of TLS (e.g., from IT security and/or RWCE lectures)
  • Desirable (but not essential):
    • Interest or experience in state learning or protocol analysis
    • Experience with software projects (e.g., internships, student assistant jobs, own projects, open source)
  • Independent, careful working style and reliability

Details

  • Scope of employment: up to 15 hours per week (per agreement)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Start date: As soon as possible
