Seminar Advanced Distributed Algorithms

Topics:
The papers that the participate can choose from are listed in PANDA. They will be discussed at the kick-off meeting.
Schedule:
- by April 20: bidding for top 3 papers
- April 22: assignment of papers
- by May 15: meeting with your advisor
- June 26: submission of preliminary version
- July 10: peer review due
- by July 24: meeting with your advisor
- August 28: submission of final version
- September 17-18: seminar
All participants are required to actively participate in the entire seminar.
Grading:
The participants are expected to prepare a detailed report (~20 pages) and a presentation of their topic. Both need to be passed in order to pass the seminar. The report counts 60% and the presentation 40% towards the final grade. Please be aware that reports are checked for plagiarism, so use your own words as much as possible and cite anything you take from other sources! If you are not sure about what is considered to be plagiarism, please consult the following leaflet. The use of AI tools must be declared.
Prerequisites:
It is highly recommended that participants of the seminar have a strong algorithms and theory background.
