High Schoolers Move the (Virtual) World

During the summers of 2012 and 2013, Professor Gitta Domik hosted workshops for high school students to teach how to utilize mathematics to build and animate virtual worlds. The participants were juniors in high school who had chosen advanced math courses for their final two years before graduating. They had already mastered most of the math required for this workshop, so all that was needed was a short specialization in matrix and vector calculation and utilizing their new skills to build a street scene, cars, and animate their world into a car racing game.
