In times of globalisation and constantly growing new challenges for the economy, politics and society, computer science is one of the core areas of the future. Computer Science in Paderborn is part of the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. With our 17 professorships and 3 junior professorships, we offer you not only basic research but also the opportunity to familiarise yourself with very specific topics in computer science. We attach great importance to close contact between lecturers and students. The teaching methods we use include small exercise groups, interactive lectures, project work, guest lectures and a programme of events in English.
Paderborn's computer science programme has been one of the top three in the CHE ranking for years. We are recognised as being particularly excellent in terms of student support, the range of courses on offer and the practical relevance of the degree programme.
