The O-Phase – Your perfect start

The O-Phase gets you off to a flying start on October 1 at 8 a.m. in lecture hall L1. Here you will not only receive a warm welcome, but also experience a lot of exciting activities: From creating a shared schedule to a campus tour to the legendary pub crawl, everything is included! The whole thing is organized by the student council, which really goes out of its way to help you get to know your fellow students and find your way around campus. The Computer Science Student Body

The student body of the Department of Computer Science is there to support you from the very beginning. It is a student association that supports all students of computer science and mathematics – whether you are studying for a bachelor's, master's or teaching degree. The mentoring program

The mentoring program is designed to ensure that you always have a point of contact during the semester. Here you will be accompanied in a small group by a mentor who will help you with questions and problems related to your studies. Whether it's about learning material, organizational matters or simply a motivational boost – you won't be left alone in the mentoring program. Look forward to more information about the mentoring program during the O-Phase and in your first lectures.
 

The learning center

At the Learning Center for Computer Science, you will receive support with technical questions about the content of your studies as well as learning and working methods. A contact person is always available here at fixed times. If you have individual problems, you can also make a personal appointment.

Welcome Days – Your Perfect Start

The Welcome Days are a fantastic opportunity to learn all about the university and meet key people you’ll be working with – both academic and non-academic staff, as well as your fellow students.

 

The Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematics will host a variety of on-campus events designed to help you connect with your peers and start building your community. It’s the perfect time and place to meet other students who, just like you, are starting their studies this semester. You’ll also get to meet people who can answer your questions about studying at Paderborn and get a feel for the unique aspects of university life in Germany (like all the paperwork!).

 

The Welcome Days kick off on October 1st at 9:30 am in O1.224.
