The Faculty warmly invites to participate in the first PhD Pitch on 15th July 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Lecture Hall O2.
The event offers PhD students the opportunity to present their research projects in a concise and engaging format. Whether you use slides, speak freely, or present at the blackboard, the goal is to communicate the essence of your research clearly and effectively within a short time frame.
Participation Rules
- Active participation (presentation) is open to PhD students from the second year of their doctorate onwards.
- Presentation time: maximum 3 minutes.
- Format: open; presentations may be given with or without slides, or at the blackboard.
- For slide presentations: maximum 4 slides. Slides must be submitted as a PDF by 12th July 2026 to eim-geschaeftsfuehrer@lists.upb.de.
Spectators from all academic backgrounds are welcome!
The PhD Pitch will be followed directly by the student councils’ faculty barbecue in the car park outside the O-Building, providing an excellent opportunity for networking and informal exchange.
