In the 29th episode of the "All Day Research" podcast, we welcome Prof. Dr. Daniel Beverungen. Together with our host Marvin Beckmann, he talks about the backgrounds and the organization of a scientific conference.

Prof. Dr. Daniel Beverungen has been part of the Department of Information Systems at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Paderborn University since April 2016, where he conducts research in the area of business information systems in the field of business informatics. "After all, I mainly deal with digital business processes and the large operational core systems in companies, for example [...] ERP systems," is how Prof. Dr. Daniel Beverungen himself summarizes his research area.

Apart from these research areas, he and some colleagues organized and successfully conducted the 18th International Conference on Business Informatics at the Heinz Nixdorf Forum here in Paderborn. "After all, we want to build a better world [...] and we want to shape the digital world of tomorrow," says Prof. Dr. Daniel Beverungen about the topic and the goals of the scientific conference. Prof. Dr. Daniel Beverungen explains in this interview with our moderator exactly how such a conference works and for whom it is worthwhile.
