Qazi Arbab Ahmed, Tobias Wiersema, and Marco Platzner got their journal paper “Post-configuration Activation of Hardware Trojans in FPGAs” accepted for publication in the Special Issue „Trustworthy Microelectronics“ of the Springer Nature Journal of Hardware and Systems Security. This article demonstrates the malicious use of the programmable interconnection of FPGAs to first deactivate the Trojan circuit using programmable interconnect points (PIP) and then to activate it only during or after the bitstream configuration.
